And I’m not happy about it. "They" are Asian Lady Beetles and they’re everywhere! Every year right around October 15th, Western North Carolina is invaded by these little critters. *blech!* I know, they don’t hurt anyone and as insects go, rather on the pretty side. But they’re so annoying! Right now outside our home, the air is thick with swarms of these bugs. You can’t walk outside without them getting on your clothes, on your skin, and in your hair. And they come inside through the smallest openings. As I type, there are between 25-40 of them on our ceiling. And this is a light day. Yuck! π The really sad thing is they were introduced as ‘beneficial’ insects. Yeah. Hopefully this winter will be nice and cold and kill these pests soon!
In other news…hmm. E seems to be coming down with something. She’s sniffly and sneezing with a low grade fever. Could be just allergies, but I don’t know for sure. Someone needs to invent a gauge we can place on our children and the arrow points to what’s wrong with them. π Think of the possibilities! When they’re infants, the choices might be "wet", "hungry", "tired", "bored", "colicky – just love me". As they grow, it changes to "hungry", "cold", "allergies", "virus", "flu", etc. Hee, hee! Silly, I know – but it would save so much stressing as well as doctor’s bills. π
J just came in after trying to ride his bike. He was swarmed with lady beetle and gnats. π
We’re (hopefully) heading to church tonight. We’re continuing a study on prayer and T’s class is studying Timothy. I can’t wait until we can get the new Beth Moore book we’ve been waiting on! π
